Nathan,

I know this is off topic and this list is for UFS but we are in need for someone who has some expertise with ZFS. We would like to see if anyone has written or knows of a tool that can be used to forensically recover a corrupted ZFS volume. We are willing to commission this project if none exists. If you have something or are willing to write something please contact me directly with a proposal.

Did you actually hit the actual 0.0000000000000001 (number of zeroes estimated) percentage chance of ZFS data non-integrity? Or is this purely conceptual?

I am certain that Sun has many ZFS-heads that have such a tool, but the timescale for its availability to the community is likely to be inestimable; given that ZFS itself is not currently available outside those who were on the Platinum Beta Program (AFAIK).

Regards... Sean.
