It does have acceptible multi-terrabyte capability - when used what it was 
designed for - databases.

It just doesn't have multi-terrabyte capability that can support an application 
to allow you to host file sharing for Mac OS where each file shared has to have 
one or more *metadata* files created to help the sharing application keep track 
of it.

WoW - that's sort of narrow-minded isn't it?

Oh - btw - for small count filesystems - Veritas has a free product available. 
ie - 4 or less filesystems.  Not sure on the rest of the limitations - it may 
or may not be of use to you.
