I run a bunch of busy mx servers and now and then the partition which holds the spool freaks out in its space reporting, which in turn freaks out our monitoring system.

What happens is this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]>df -h /local
Filesystem size used avail capacity Mounted on
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s7 56G 16384E 56G 31628389258525% /local

Size is correct... this is a 56G slice. Used, obviously, is not correct. Avail is wrong. And your guess about the value stated for Capacity is probably correct.

Now, the fs works fine. Nothing really breaks or gets corrupted it seems. The only way to clear this error is to unmount it or reboot.

The servers in question are all running s10u1 with 118844-26.

Any idea regarding this curiosity? We can replicate this problem as well.
