Hi BOSUG,

I've been able to get KDE4 (upto kdelibs) up and running on Solaris
10. (using Sun Studio 12)

Thanks to the excellent work of Adriaan de Groot and Stefan Teleman,
building KDE4 now is ridiculously easy!

This is ofcourse due to months of hard work on their part.

I think it _should_ be possible to build KDE4 (using SS12) on belenix
( Plz refer my earlier mail, i'm having trouble getting Belenix up
under VMWare )

The KDE4 build system builds a lot of libs as prerequisities.
This is mainly because S10 is pretty outdated and most of the libs are
too old / not present.

At present there will be a lot of duplication of libs as the build
system targets S10. I need to spend some time and take out the extra
stuff. Anyone willing to do it / collaborate is more than welcome :)

BeleniX is a KDE based distro ( it's also an XFCE based distro :) )
and I would love to get KDE4 on it.

All that the build system requires is Sun Studio 12 to be present on the system.
( It even fetches / builds subversion as part of the build process :) )

The documentation for the build system can be obtained by
svn co https://svn2.cvsdude.com/kdesolaris/trunk/Build

Thanks
