http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_file_systems Summerised versions (and tabulated comparisons) of ALL file systems are available here. For specific details, click on the links for specific file systems. > > http://sun.systemnews.com/articles/105/2/opt-sysadmin/17127 > How ZFS Makes the Sys Admin's Life Easier > Amy Rich Explains Making File Systems, RAID-Z and More > Systemnews ? That is paid-up stuff. Just US$ 1 per week ! On a lighter note, I like the phrase "makes sys admin's life easier". After two decades of observations, and some of first hand experience, I have come to the following conclusions: a) A sys-admin's work is days of inactivity with hours of sheer panic ! Just wait for the root kit to be discovered, or some ssh intrusion ... till then it is business (as usual). b) Nothing can stretch a sysadmin, barring Windows !!! c) Sys-admins need more work (than coffee and sympathy).
