Hi BOSUG, The Hackathon preparatory meeting did not delve deep into the murky waters of the GNU Build system for lack of time. I've attached my tiny presentation with the mail. Be sure to look into the references section.
If some of you on the list already have expertise with auto*, it would be nice to develop some libtool expertise for the hackathon. I've had terrible experiences with libtool. At one point in time, I had to resort to "dtrace -w" to dynamically modify the arguments to exec() for the compiler during the build ;-) Have Fun.
