That rootnex..blahblah thing was a result of memory corruption in a remarkable corner case which was fixed in 0.6.1. See here: http://blogs.sun.com/moinakg/entry/hsfs_changes_in_recent_belenix It was a hell to figure out the root cause. However I did not yet try out 0.6.1 with Qemu. If anyone is trying it out, I'd suggest using the latest release from the Qemu website.
