On my laptop (celeron 1.4MHz, 256MB) Belenix liveCD takes 5 min 15 secs to show the desktop (comparable to ubuntu's startup time) Solaris Express takes 1 min 40 secs (to show GUI login screen).
Can't comment about the Belenix HD installation since I don't have one right now. (As a side note, moinak had mentioned that the open solaris need 2hrs to be built on the ferrari laptop. On my laptop it took 5 hrs). -Shiv On 4/4/06, Shivakumar G.N <shivakumar.gn at gmail.com> wrote: > > > > On 4/3/06, Sriram Popuri <sgpopuri at gmail.com> wrote: > > > > If you face any problem while installing BeleniX, set the environment > > valiable DEBUG and run hdinstaller. send us the log file in /tmp/debug.log. > > (we somehow missed this while documenting) > > > > bash$export DEBUG=1 > > bash$hdinstaller > > > > /tmp/debug.log can be taken only if another FAT partition is automatically > mounted by belenix. > I had two FAT32 partitions - 1 primary and 1 logical.
