I use ZTerm too. It's ugly and all, but it's the only one I found working. Then I use a keyspan USB to RS232 adapter. You need a DB9 to rj45 cable, right? I can give the cable at my brother who works at the EPFL and anybody can come grab it. I can also ship it if you want.
