Phil Kirk: Working with Linux as a long time Solaris user

This month's presentation will talk about Phil's experiences of working
with Linux as a long time Solaris user, which features are similar,
which are different, and how he has found troubleshooting problems under
Linux.
It will cover various areas from kernel debugging, crash dump analysis,
through to zones alternatives under Linux and system profiling tools.
Phil Kirk is a software engineer currently working in user land
development on Linux. Previously, Phil worked at Sun Microsystems (and
then Oracle) for 14 years, carrying out several roles, the most recent
of which was as a sustaining engineer in the network area & development
of IP Observability (project Clearview).
