Led by President Yoweri Museveni's press secretary, Mary Okurut, several
speakers in the packed Makerere University Senate Hall criticised the 59-page
report for "peddling uncorroborated information".

Netters!!

who are this so called Makerere University speakers? How dare for them to
claim that the United Nations issued a report based on quote "Uncorroborated
Information" !!

Are the so called speakers aware that the United Nations has the resources
and the capability to launch a very thorough investigation regarding the
issues of the day in any part of the World.

That said, of course the United Nations investigated the plunder of DRC
natural resources. As a result of that investigation The Kazinis and Salem
Saleh who were identified as Culprits in the illegal looting of DRC natural
resources.

.. NOW some fool is trying to tell us that Mbu the UN based the report on
the illegal looting of DRC natural resources on quote " Uncollaborated
information. "

Could it be that the UN report is based on facts and genunine informations
and not NRM Tutsi lies..... and that because of this fact that is why the
so called "speakers" claim that it is based on "uncolaborated information."

Perhaps then, one would argue , the UN report would have been acceptable to
the so called speakers , if and only if the Kazini's and Salem Saleh were
given the opportunity to tell lies to those members of the UN charged with
investigating the looting of DRC resources.

THE just released United Nations report on illegal exploitation of the DR
Congo and The Monitor newspaper came under attack at a debate on the media
coverage of Africa.

Led by President Yoweri Museveni's press secretary, Mary Okurut, several
speakers in the packed Makerere University Senate Hall criticised the 59-page
report for "peddling uncorroborated information".

They also blasted The Monitor for being "too sensational and insensitive to
public interest."

The public dialogue was organised by the US embassy in collaboration with the
Washington DC-based Voice of America (VOA) and Makerere University Mass
Communication Department.

Okurut said, "Most of the report is based on hearsay. If it goes to court,
the judges will not take much time in throwing it out It has a lot of
contradictions. Researchers and journalists commissioned by the UN are ill
informed and did not carry out enough research." Ends
