LIEUTENANt General Salim Saleh has released his hotline telephone contact to the public. Anyone with information that can enable the general to contact LRA boss Joseph Kony can now call him on 077-656778.
Saleh, who is a member of the Presidential Peace Team to negotiate peace with the rebels, said that he is now living in Gulu town but outside the UPDF 4th Division barracks so that he can easily be contacted.
�I am now sandwiched between the rebels and the military,� Gen. Saleh said on Monday at a meeting with the Gulu District Reconciliation and Peace Team (DRPT) at the Gulu Council Hall.
He said this was an indication that he did not favour either side in the conflict.
Responding to a request by DRPT members that the UPDF stop attacking the rebels, he said he could not ask the UPDF to declare a ceasefire if the rebels did not fulfil the ceasefire conditions.
�I am now on the opposite end with the mi! litary. You have to bear with them when they say they will never go on a ceasefire until there is an agreement,� he said.
