Mr. Kasangwawo,

In academic circles, plagiary or literary theft -- passing off other people's work and or ideas as your own, is a very serious transgression. Now, I am aware that there is nothing academic about Ugandanet is not. Nonetheless, "nettiquete" requires one to identify the source of one one's information or to clearly note that the said piece belongs to someone else by using "FWD" or otherwise conveying that idea, even with out realing the identity (if so requested or advisable) the originator.

Nobody is perfect, sometimes one errs by forgetting to do any of the above. Once points out the oversight, one then is expected to follow the above norm. Mr. Mulindwa has refused to do any of this.

It turns out that someone else actually sent this article. Although UPC is irrelevant to the area which concerns me above all else, Buganda, since that is where I hail from -- having never won elections in Buganda, save for the the odd constituence here and there, and having ravaged her institutions, etc etc -- I wasted an hour and some minutes leafing through the document. I saw nothing worthwhile in it, even at a national level. It simply contains Obote's tired ideas (and anti-Bugandaisms) that have led UPC to disaster twice. My reading of it makes me think that Kawenkene Obote himself wrote it.

Mw. Ssemakula,

the fact being that the so-called group always signs off everything in that manner, and there being no sign of the author, I assumed that either he had forgotten to put that in or he had intentionally left it out.
I cannot say for sure that it is Adhola's piece, although I can sense his hand in it.

Kasangwawo
