The Member of Parliament for Kawempe North Hon. Ssebuliba Mutumba has challenged President Museveni to emulate the example of his Kenyan counterpart Daniel Arap Moi and leave power come the year 2006.
In their participation during Radio Simbas Simbawo Akati Awo Programme Ssebuliba Mutumba and the former Guild President of Makerere University Fred Mukasa Mbidde with other members of the opposition said that President Museveni as a respectable leader is not expected to retain power as some people are advising him since the act is contrary to the Constitution.
Movement supporters including Presidential Advisors Joseph Luzige and Moses Byaruhanga however said that President Museveni still has a chance to stand as long as it is done in public interest.
The Luweero District Chairman who is also a staunch Movement supporter Al Hajji Abdul Nadduli said that there is no need of changing leaders at the moment since Uganda unlike other countries has been going though a lot of insurgencies.
