Rwanyarare backs Besigye war claims-New Vision 20/12/2002
The UPC Presidential Policy Commission chairman, Dr. James Rwanyarare, said yesterday that he agreed with Col. Kizza Besigye that the situation in Uganda is ripe for war, writes Edith Kimuli.
�I agree a hundred percent with what Besigye is saying. He is just saying the obvious,� Rwanyarare said at the UPC weekly press briefing at Uganda House.
He said Besigye was not calling for war, but analysing the situation. He said those urging President Museveni to have a third term are sounding drums of war.
�It is the Tinyefuzas and the Muhwezis and not Besigye. The rigorous resumption of chakamchaka...is aimed at drumming up support for a third term for Museveni, in fact the fifth term,� he said.
