Fellow Citizens:
Which Ugandan or member of the international community, at this point, can
really take Museveni seriously, when the dictator says that he has "vowed" to
rout out Kony by Force?
Wasn't it, what appears to be like yesterday, when the NRM declared
victory over the so called Kony Rebels?
NRM's victory message was reported by none other the THE BBC and distributed
by International news media groups like Reuters, for the world and Ugandans
to read.
Ugandans and members of the international community were told, that because
NRM had defeated the so called Kony rebels, for the first time Northern
Ugandans were going to enjoy a happy and quiet Christmas season.
Did that come to be? NAY ..NOPE
Instead, what do we get?.. you got it ... the cold blooded murder of an
Anglican Rev. Julius Peter with a student friend from Mukono by the so called
LRA rebels. .. who were supposingly defeated by the UPDF.
Mean while another Anglican Rev. Amitayo Odong of Kitgum Anglican Diocese was
also shot at and wounded in the arm.
Neither heavy deployment of Museveni's army( to the tune of 50,000 troops)
nor the heavy weapons in possession of the army could stop this high profile
murder of men of God from happening!!!
And now Kaguta is promising Ugandans and members of the International
Community ...rather vowing...that he would soon "rout out" the so called
LRA's Joseph Kony rebels. ..and guess what some of us Ugandans and dammies
among members the international community( Museveni admirers) will believe
Museveni.
Any independent observer of Ugandan politics, can and should ( unless of
course he or she is a DAMMY ) have by now concluded that all Museveni and his
NRM are good at is nothing but mere talk and saber rattling in the fight
against the so called Kony rebels.
The NRM issues deadlines to finish Kony rebels.. deadlines come and pass and
"Kony rebels" are still there terrorist the people of Uganda.
and when prominent figures within the NRM, like "general" Kazini are put
to task over some of the deadline or promises issued to the people of
Uganda and Members of the International Community, all the NRM can do is to
back peddle, if you want, on their very words.
A claim is made that Kazini actually did not promise to catch Kony, but
rather, when Kazini made a public statement promising to catch Kony or he (
Kazini) would resign, what Kazini actually meant was that he Kazini was going
to "reduce Joseph Kony's capability to fight!!!
We are further told that now that Kony's capability to fight has been
reduce ( remember no International organization or any reputable local
orgainization has verified UPDF's claim that the so called KONY rebels
capability to fight has been reduced. It is only the UPDF making the claim.
..and for us we simply have to believe the UPDF) Kazini cannot resign.
In any case, NRM minister of defense says that even if Kazini was to tender
in his resignation, he Mbabazi would deny Kazini's request to resign!

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has vowed to remove the Lord's Resistance Army
(LRA) rebels from the bush by force, since they are not respecting the
amnesty law.
He said amnesty was given to the rebels so that they come out of the bush
willingly and not be prosecuted.
"The Government gave the rebels the amnesty law so that they can come out of
the bush willingly. But if they don't come out quickly, we shall get them out
by force, or kill them all because they are finishing innocent people,"
Museveni said.
Museveni, who was accompanied by his wife Janet, had their first prayer in
Gulu town with thousands of Anglican Christians at Christ Church on Christmas
day.
Museveni appealed to the Acholi not to worry although the LRA were still
ambushing vehicles and causing other havoc in the region.
Museveni sent his condolences to the family of the late Anglican Rev. Julius
Peter Okidi of Kitgum Diocese and a student at Uganda Christian University,
Mukono who was shot dead by the rebels on Christmas eve.
"I was saddened when I heard that the rebels ambushed a vehicle and killed an
Anglican Reverend near Abera forest when they were travelling from Gulu to
Kitgum district," Museveni said.
The rebels shot Rev. Okidi on the evening of Monday close to Abera forest on
the Gulu-Kitgum road in Paicho sub-county, Aswa County in Gulu district.
He was killed together with another unidentified civilian with whom he was
travelling.
The rebels in November murdered another Anglican clergy, the Rev. Alfred
Kilama of Lalogi in Omoro county in Gulu.
The rebels recently injured the Rev. Amitayo Odong of Kitgum Anglican Diocese
when they shot him in the right arm in an ambush on the Kitgum-Lira road.
