Were ready to crush imperialism

EDITOR We say goodbye to 2002 buoyed by that stunning victory over the
forces of imperialism and in the knowledge that Zimbabweans will greet their next
challenges with courage and determination and not complacency and
insouciance.

Zimbabwean revolutionaries know there is no chance any more that the
imperialists will underestimate us after what we have achieved.

Zanu-PF has raised the tempo as the oppositions days of self-deception turn to a
distant memory.

Zanu-PF is determined to give fresh evidence of its own distinction.

President Mugabes Cabinet ministers are prepared to offer far more than industry.

Now, in that spirit, we in Davira Mhere have the greatest pleasure to dedicate
these lyrics, of Africas revolutionary tune, to the veterans of Zimbabwes Third
Chimurenga, declare that:

Nobody should say the Africans are dead because the Africans are alive,

Our banner shall never be lowered,

Our homeland is our land and culture and continent,

We are the heroes of the revolution and the colour red just look how
bloodstained our history is!

The African people are gallantly standing to attention,

The continents youth is ever-present,

Ready to sacrifice their lives to inflict deadly blows on Western imperialism,

And to decorate our living crown with the enemys blood!

Chinondidyachii Mararike.
