Katikiro Ssemwogerere's tribalistic politics, underpins what we nationalist Ugandans have to deal with. The man simply cannot think beyond his nose.
His utterances is based on ignorance of Uganda politics.
The man, no doubt talks like an unseasoned Muganda politician from Buddo.
He claims that the Buganda youth should quote" join the security forces to protect Ebyaffe" How so If I may ask Mr. Katikiro?
Is he implying that somehow those Buganda Youth who join Ugandan Armed forces should and must owe their allegiance first and fore most to the Kabaka and mengo?..and not Uganda as a nation State.
If we are to further scrutinize Katikiro Ssemwogere's Logic, the Acholi should join the forces to Protect the Acholi "Ebyaffee". Likewise, the Lugwara should join the forces to protect the Lugwara Ebyaffee. Anyakole should join to protect Anyakole Ebyaffe. The Kumama should join the forces to protect the Kumam Ebyaffee.. e.t.c you get the point!
Secondly, is the Katikirro aware that the Buganda youth who he is calling upon to join Yoweri Museveni's army will most likely end up fighting Yoweri Museveni's wars in DRC Congo, the Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi and northern Uganda e.t.c..were many will end up losing their lives ? Is that what the Katikiro wants for Buganda Youth?

THE Katikkiro of Buganda, Joseph Ssemwogerere, has advised the Baganda youth, especially in universities, to join security organs not only for national defence but also to ensure the 'Ebyaffe' are returned.
Ssemwogerere also urged the youth to actively participate in leadership in both the university and at the national level.
He said this recently at Kyambogo University during the fresher's party for Abaana ba Kintu and Nkoba za Mbogo.
The party drew students from Makerere, Nkumba, Kampala International and Mukono Christian universities.
Ssemwogerere said, "I appeal to you to join the prisons, police, army and intelligence organs not only to protect ebyaffe that are being returned, but also to participate in the defence of the country."
