Tell this Charley Reese creep that he's arrived on the scene 300
years too late. This liberal and conservative thing is a cruel trick
that Euro-Americans keep playing on us because in the current setup, heads
or tail, they win. They are all paternalistic and hypocritical
beneficiaries of centuries of affirmative action (in the name of free
slave labor, preferential treatment before the law, etc).
Also, the right-wing proposition he's flaunting has no hell's
chance of success because it is white people who have been running away
from colored people for centuries -- not the other way round. Today,
we're at a point where schools and neighborhoods are
re-segregating.
Simply put, we're not about to accept the revisionism implied in
assimilation, that slavery and Jim Crow didn't happen or that genocide by
white invaders and not tribalism wiped out native
Americans. Blacks and Hispanics are not about to revisit the
Algerian experience (where non-white children celebrated their fictitious
blond and blue-eyed ancestors).

- Affirmative action ought to be killed outright. It's a
racist policy, and it's an insult to black Americans.

- Stripped of all the hogwash rhetoric, affirmative action
says to blacks: "We know you can't compete on an equal footing, so we will
award you 20 points just for having black skin. Don't forget to be
grateful to your white liberal masters." Paternalism is insulting.

- Liberals try to rationalize affirmative action by
extolling the virtues of diversity. Point one: We are a diverse nation
with or without affirmative action. If there is a white person who's
reached majority without ever coming in contact with a black person, then
the white must have been raised in Pot Hole, Mont., without benefit of
television or movies.

- Point two: White liberals admit they covertly believe in
black inferiority, since their own statement is that without affirmative
action, there will be no diversity. They are saying, as plainly as they
can say it, that without special favoritism based on race, blacks will not
be able to compete with whites.

- Point three: There is no virtue in diversity.

- A casual look at the world will tell anybody but an
idiot that those countries with homogenous or nearly homogenous
populations are stable, while those countries with diverse populations
tend to be unstable. Which is more stable, Sweden or the Balkans? The
Balkans are a perfect example of diversity in action. Diverse ethnic and
religious backgrounds have produced some of the bitterest and bloodiest
conflicts in Europe. Our own diversity has been the source of many
conflicts - often bloody, and not a few based on race.

- The truth is that the human race is tribal. Tribes
compete and often feud. The British built an empire playing one tribe
against another. Only when the people of different tribes can unite with
some higher set of ideals and ideas that override their tribal differences
can there be peace and strength. In short, we ought to be constantly
preaching assimilation, not diversity. Diversity will kill us;
assimilation will make us strong.

- The sad fate of the American Indians illustrates that
point. They were nearly annihilated because they simply could not overcome
their tribal differences while the non-Indian population united against
them. They drowned in a wave of immigration. The present generation of
Americans will meet the same fate if they don't find the backbone to close
the borders and apply some tar and feathers to all these diversity
preachers. Anybody preaching diversity is trying to weaken America, either
for malicious reasons or because he or she is just stupid. Stupidity
probably kills more people than malice.

- I agree with Teddy Roosevelt that there should be no
room for hyphenated Americans in the United States. You are either an
American or you're not, regardless of where you or your ancestors came
from. The game afoot, of course, is vile politicians playing one group off
another for political gains. Americans ought to be outraged by this
dangerous, cynical exploitation of people, but outrage is apparently as
extinct as the passenger pigeon.

- I was outraged some years ago when I read that a
Colorado public school, which had assigned students the task of writing an
essay on the Fourth of July, told the Hispanic students they could write
about Cinco de Mayo. No, they should not. If their purpose in being in
Colorado is to become American citizens, then their independence day is
the Fourth of July, not the fifth of May. If their purpose is to remain
Mexican, then they should go home.

- It is a big, big mistake to abandon assimilation in
favor of diversity. In the long run, unless it is reversed, it will prove
fatal, and the United States will become the Dis-United States. So, yes,
kill affirmative action, and quit yapping about diversity.
