Two juveniles appeared before Gulu Grade I Magistrate Moses Angulia, Jan. 21. They are charged with treason. Igama Charles (15) is charged with waging war against the Republic of Uganda.
Prosecution alleges that Igama, together with others still at large, waged war against the state in January 2002 at Pakele in Adjumani district.

His co-accused, David Oyoo (17) from Amuru camp in Kilak, Gulu, allegedly waged war against the state in September 1999 in Gulu and Kitgum districts.
The two were handed to Dinah Opio of LAPWEA, a local NGO for safe custody.
The case has attracted a lot of interest among NGOs working with children and human rights activists. They met the new British High Commissioner to Uganda Adam Wood during his maiden visit to Gulu, Jan. 28.
Local sources say that the army is also conscripting formerly abducted children into their ranks or LDU.
4 Division Public Relations Officer Lt. Paddy Ankunda refused to comment when contacted. He said he needed more time to verify the information.
"I am not commenting. First of all, I may need to verify," he said when raised on phone recently.
