World Bank Wants Peaceful End to Northern Conflict

THE World Bank on Saturday urged the Government to end the conflict in the north peacefully, writes Vision Reporter.
The bank's representative in Uganda and Tanzania, Judy O'Connor, made the call when she met President Yoweri Museveni, a statement by the Presidential Press Unit said over the weekend. O'Connor was accompanied by the World Bank Resident Representative, Robert Blakke.
Museveni told the officials that increased spending on security had boosted tourism in the west. He said it had also increased investor-confidence.
