Escort kills UPDF officer
The UPDF detach commander for Sundet in Kapchorwa district, 2nd Lt. Kivumbi
Ssonko, was on Saturday shot dead by his escort, reports Nathan Etengu.
Kivumbi was gunned down at the home of the LC1 chairman of the area
where they had gone to secure food for the soldiers in the unit.
The
assailant, George Angiro, an LDU from Soroti, reportedly claimed that he woke up
in a dream and thought he was being attacked.
The Brigade Commander,
405, Lt. Col. Patrick Kiyingi, said six bullets were pumped into Kivumbi�s,
killing him instantly.
