Oh man so what do you mean?

My interest was not whether Paul Kagame tried to prevent justice from being done, my interest was whether Major Paul Kagame of UPDF pleaded Major Kazini to spare the life of his relative who had been implicated in armed robberies and kidnappings of Ugandans. So did he or he did not it is just that simple before we all start to sugar coat it. Like I said Ugandans are asking for nothing less than public inquiry in all doings of all these people on our society.

Subject: [rwanda-l] clarification on Kagame story

Monitor Wednesday, 11 June, 2003  the paper apologised thus;

" In our lead story yesterday, 'General Aronda was Kaagame's best man' we reported that Major. General Paul Kagame had reportedly pleaded with Maj. General Kazini to spare the life of his relative who had been implicated in armed robberies and kidnappings.

This stetement may have created an impression to some readers that Maj. Gerneral Kagame who was then serving in the Ugandan army at the time, tried to prevent justice from being done.This impression, if created, is innacurate and unfortunate.

We appologise for this wrong impression, and especially to H.E Paul Kagame the president of Rwanda."
