Origins of severe COUGH & FEVERS - Environmental iss Sir
Sir what haven?t I written about? Here below is the entire transcript of what I wrote about roads in Uganda on the very day you received this mail. Below you see even more link to article written before this one.
Yes sir, the roads are bad but the activities, which are concentrated in our urban, and town centres are a disaster in them. Far more greater than what roads can cause. Motor Garages, hospitals, petrol stations, slums, disorganised settlements and eating-places are doing havoc to underground, the soil profiles and the biological composition of this once an impala land.
Notice that in Germany, Britain and Sweden which countries are just waking to the damage they have done due to lack of adequate knowledge about these problems in the primer are trying all mechanism to the extent of WASHING SOIL, can you imagine WASHING SOIL to get rid of pollutants. How much can wash a day- remember reclaiming water mashes! What else can one say if the Gods on earth can?t listen- I have studied urban pollution in Europe from the sixteen hundred, but this was due to agriculture practices. Notice that the waste has happened in the last two hundred and fifty years alone! This include water bodies and channels, air, agro-forestry, (monoculture), human bodies due to food contamination now carried over as genetic mutation to future generations and so on.

There is no way one can turn back the clock without forgetting the things people here are used too like slums, urban concentration, high consumption and mass production because even the way sewage has become a real problem which now calls for traditional means like fertilising farm lands and letting it follow thorough mash and wet lands where affluent can be handled naturally. The sins of western science and African negligence!
Stay well sir,

Hello
thanks very much for the information you keep sending us about
the deteriorating environmental situation in the country. About the current topic, i would like to inform you that NEMA has drafted some standards on air quality, which among others are supposed to control emissions from motor vehicles. But as you may be aware, standards alone will not halt the emissions from motor vehicles but will need re-designing our road networks and having more outlets from the city to reduce congestion. There are alot of other options but please let us keep sharing information.

Uganda transports system and we need the railway badly!
Now, if you are a hydrophobic map-reader as I am you?ll have recognised that Uganda is quiet a spectacle, an interesting bio-geological creation seen from above. We have the raged (seen from above) folds in the west, the semi-dry plains in the central but a hilly and valley southern part and then a densely tuft fill of grass and bushes on the flat lands of central northern Uganda.
This is sedating scenery indeed.
Given to this natural beauty and the forces of nature which carved this wonderful piece of the African continental block, it is unfortunate to note that if not very well understood and harnessed to best serve human needs and wants in clear observance of the laws governing it, and the forces keeping it in place today, it might give way one day resulting into a distaste!
Those in the central region might have observed that in the first weeks of July, in and around the central district, a canopy of dark cloud covered this region just less than 2 kilometres above the ground to which lay people, claimed and defined as a sign of a dry period (ekyeeya), but which given to occasional wet periods, proved them wrong - it rained occasionally.
To many a lay people, did not notice the fact that the central district is gradually being engulfed into the worst devastating volatile organic compounds (VOC) particle pollution stretching from miles along these valleys. Consequently, what seems to be like a canopy of dark cloud covering the valleys of central region is actually, floating layers of SMOG ROAMING the valleys, lazily not yet to have found the right temperature to disperse.
Contradictory enough the smog holds sun rays above it and it is the same smog which keeps the ground with constant temperatures just about enough to keep the smog in place unless the regional climatic conditions changes some how to influence the local climatic conditions. This is more of a geographer?s detective work but see this.
How can we know this for a fact- medicine and ecology (biology is different). NOTICE THAT TODAY PEOPLE IN THE CENTRAL REGION GET VERY REAR AND SEVERE TYPES OF COUGH AT TIMES IN COMBINATION WITH VOMITING OF BLOOD.
The frogs in and around seem to be migrating running away from the sour and acid waters a typical sign of a dying ecological system. Some types of bird populations too feeding on particular small insects are declining in number and declining frequency visit to this particular region. Have you seen butterflies lately and how often? Remember this region is typical butterfly enclave.
The regions air conditions is increasingly getting problematic, so dumpy and stuff with heavy polluted greasy particles. It is so frequent that people here get stuffy nostrils and headaches just to notice that there is something, which is really amiss.
My investigation does not stop at air just notice that once clear clean water channels like Mayanja river today is getting a real heavy load of brown water on a one good rain-day, which can?t sustain any living organism. It shocked me deep that what come from the central district could travel several miles.
For those who are not academically inclined in these matters, I am pleased to let you see for your self by doing a small experiment. Visit an sort of bush or vegetation particularly broad-leafed vegetation and examine closely what are on those leaves- brown for dust, greasy and black for fossil fuel particles i.e. carbon gas particles.
Uganda and Ugandans are phenomenal and very interesting, given to this country being the cradle of modern education in East Africa- they say.
I have been to Nsambya, Namirembe and Mulago where medical doctors have conceded to not knowing the cause of terrible vomiting and coughing patterns, which seems to defy, on most occasions the powerful medication there is and age limits too. Sadly vomiting blood among small children generates other type of diseases in some cases like high peaked fevers and dehydration.
For the weak in the pockets the condition is doing havoc on these small innocent creatures that are getting a good dose of pollutants concentration given to their height and concentration of pollutants.
As the government seek to consolidate its powers, through its conspirator rhetorical ideological mechanication, blunt lies, worthlessness and foolishness i.e. the government want hawkers on streets, while the mayor wants them off; as the politicians and the powerful class want their public services vehicles to remain on the roads spiting out sulphate compounds, carbon monoxide, high levels of hydrocarbons i.e. benzene toluene, exylene and dangerous nitrogen monoxide compounds, Ugandans innocent will continue dying in new diseases. The public health care system was buried years ago.
What make the problem geomorphologically as I have written before are the web interlocking water bodies and valleys, which means what originates from central water and valley systems will eventually end up in West Nile and beyond. I have not yet written off this country bye the way, how much do we spend in arms?
The onus is on the ministry of communication, NEMA and of course KCC to stop the terrible emission of very volatile and health threatening particle into the air- What goes into the air comes as water and the signs are there for all to see.
