How bad must one be?

Former dictator Milton Obote, whose brutal rule was terminated in a military coup by his appointed Chief of Staff [Kijambia himself], wants him [Idi Amin] to return to Uganda. It is rumored that in 1977, the entire population of Obote’s village was annihilated by Idi Amin in his attempt to stamp out all traces of dissent.

Former NRM political commissar and then presidential contender Dr Besigye wants Amin back.  NRM has time and again vowed to stamp out Aminism.

Emannuel Cardinal Wamala, [I am sure he remembers the slaying of the Archbishop of Uganda, Janani Luwumsays that if convicted murderer Abdullah Nasur [who murdered on Amin’s behalf] was pardoned, then the same should be extended to Amin.

A number of Ugandans have also expressed their views and some want Idi Amin back.

If Idi Amin steps on the Ugandan soil breathing, the president of Uganda has vowed to bring charges against him.

On their website http://www.ugandamission.net  it is stated:

“Apollo Lawoko, a Ugandan living in Sweden captures the finer details of the gruesome butcher. Lawoko with scores of other men were in some hell-like cell when the trio, Oboth Ofumbi, Erinayo Oryema and Jannani Luwum, were ushered in.

Lawoko quotes the archbishop as having said, "Let us pray". Soon after the prayers, they were dashed to a room where Amin, Malyamungu and Bob Astles were waiting. They were thoroughly pounded and pierced using crude weapons such as hammers, clubs and bayonets.

Amin is said to have personally pulled out his gun and shot the archbishop through the mouth.”

·        Milton Obote, twice had a chance to create an atmosphere whereby Ugandan heads of state would not flee the country but would peacefully live and die at home, he failed to do that but only forcing the first president of Uganda to die in exile.

·        For eight years, Idi Amin had a chance to create an atmosphere for Ugandan heads of State to live and die peacefully in Uganda, he failed.

·        Is Museveni the Messiah to create a safe passage for exiled former heads of state?

·        Lutwa, Bajilio, and God’s friend Lukongwa came back in Uganda. Prof Lule was accorded a hero’s burial. Has Museveni created an atmosphere that Ugandan heads of state need not  flee the country,  and is that the reason why Ugandans want him to let Amin come back and go guiltless because he is sick?
