Here is The Monitor's reply regarding the the two articles on the mystery letter which shows that our very own patriotic, nationalist, Africanist President Museveni is little more than a  lap dog (aka puppet) for American foreign policy. Thanks for your comment on the two stories about the Museveni letter. The editor chose to run both stories not because he did not realise that they were contradictory, but simply to demonstrate the hypocrisy within the government. Obviously the minister was lying, and he was exposed because he did not realise that at the same time as he thought he was "protecting" the president, Mr Museveni was busy meeting journalists and justifying why he wrote the letter or 'guidelines' on Uganda's position on world trade!
