Dictator Museveni camped in Karamoja not too long ago -- and narrowly escaped death from a snake's near bite -- but failed to contain the Karamong guns. Singly ridding Karamoja of arms has failed in the past, and is a silly proposition again. It failed in the past because the problem is still there. It is silly because dictator Museveni is pouring arms into neighboring Teso via the so-called Arrow Boys, and most of these arms are surely likely ending up in Karamoja.
Dictator Museveni's simplistic approach to Uganda's problems is extremely dangerous.
