Justice M Mbuh

First of all I think you are in the very same situation as George Bush. You see George
bush to make any sense into the UN he must first ask Powell to bring in a resolution
apologizing to the UN for the I know it all attitude the administration brought to the
UN. Then we can debate any other ways to go ahead. So for you I think it does not help
us to tell us of how you supported the war and now you have changed. For there was
never a single iota which would make any body support this war. period. Coming infront
with an apology including "I am sorry I was wrong" can entice this debate to go much
further.

United States has not started its attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq alone, they have
gone all over the place killing and at will. What we have got out there is enough
evidence of how terrible their foreign policy is. And I will repeat again that any war
in Africa, any single war, has a hand of United States. But the danger is that we can
not make that public, for the moment you say so Ayittey will be all over you like a
dirty shirt. Why do we know now of the Iraqi issue? For there are many interested
camps in that camp, if it was Democratic republic of Congo? You would not have
bothered.

Why did I respond? For I think you claim to have a change of heart but you are still
short. and I will quote you "Iraq could return to perfect tranquility in less than two
months if the US truly means business." That is totally inaccurate.
Let me put it to you this way, United States can not get out of Iraq today for it is
too late, she must operate today from a point of saving face. But even if the entire
American and British force departed today, Iraq will never get tranquility. As every
one including you was pounding for this attack, I said these words that I am still
standing to. The moment Iraq is attacked and Saddam Hussein's government is over
thrown, will be the day Iraq will cease to exist as a nation. And it does not matter,
whether you put in Un or Arab states or what ever crap. The equation of having Iraq as
a nation after the departure of Saddam Hussein just does not fit. And I have taken a
very great look at all sources involved in this nation, the interests, the population,
The neighbours like Turkey like Iran Like Israel Like Syria, plus the tribes like the
Sunni's and company. My friend you will never have a government in Iraq leading that
nation. A government in Baghdad? of course, that you w
ill have, for even today we have bremner there with his group. But as a nation. No.
And let me say this as well, you will even be lucky to get a government which only
controls Baghdad as Kazhai is controlling only Kabul. You will be lucky if UN can even
manage to achieve that.

That is the danger of personalizing political problems, that is the danger to think
that it is all about money and power. For you see the Americans fucked up Somalia so
bad that to today Somalia is the only nation with out a government. They went away
with that, but Iraq is going to hunt them to the end for Iraq has an enormous amount
of oil.
Let us look at this problem 10 years from today, you will wish you had Saddam Hussein
in Baghdad.

Happy Thanks giving (One day some body will define to me what that exactly means)

Subject: [abujaNig] State Department Decries Robertson Nuke Quote

  Netters,
I supported the war agains Saddam and even that against the Taliban--for the simple
reason that I hate dictators and would want to see people have control of their
destinies. But the current posture the US has in Iraq is not as desperate as the US
authorities would want us to believe: Iraq could retrun to perfect tranquility in less
than two months if the US truly means business. But from current postures, even with
the mounting unnneccessay casualties, it seems the US would rather hold as long as
possible in creating these scenes of desperation,of an imaginary enemy haunting the
West, US in particular.

The thing is, it is not the children of the rich and the powerful who are getting
killed each day. So the policymakers may not know how it hurts ordinary Americans, to
say less of Iraqis. The quest for freedom having turned into a nightmare, quagmire,
quackishly!

Pat Robertson is right:Freedom is now illusive as wlive its illusions here and afar.

Bottomline: State Department Foggy Bottom) had better start getting somelight, some
sun shine. Power concieves nothing, when its merits are truncated by policy designed
to stragulate peace, and just to keep some few folks richer, with every new day!

State Department Decries Robertson Nuke Quote

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Oct. 12) - The U.S. State Department has condemned an on-air
suggestion by religious broadcaster Pat Robertson that the agency ought to be blown up
with a nuclear device.

Robertson, who heads the Virginia Beach-based Christian Broadcasting Network, made
the remark while interviewing author Joel Mowbray on ``The 700 Club'' television
program last week. Mowbray wrote a book called ``Dangerous Diplomacy: How the State
Department Endangers America's Security.''

  AP
Robertson says the State Department undermines U.S. policies.

``I read your book. When you get through, you say, 'If I could just get a nuclear
device inside Foggy Bottom, I think that's the answer.' I mean, you get through this,
and you say, 'We've got to blow that thing up,''' Robertson said during the interview.

The State Department's headquarters are located in Foggy Bottom, a Washington
neighborhood.

Richard Boucher, the agency's top spokesman, called the remark Thursday
``despicable.''

``I lack sufficient capabilities to express my disdain,'' Boucher said to reporters
during a press briefing.

Robertson was out of town and could not be reached for comment, his spokeswoman
Angell Watts said Friday.

In National Review magazine, Mowbray has written articles criticizing the way visas
were issued in Saudi Arabia. Mowbray was questioned in 2002 by the State Department
after disclosing at a press briefing that he had obtained a classified document about
visa issues.

Robertson also advocated bombing the State Department during a June interview with
Mowbray.

``Well, it looks like Congress had better do something, and maybe we need a very
small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom to shake things up,'' Robertson said.

The Christian evangelist regularly condemns the State Department as a rogue element
he says consistently undermines U.S. policies and the principles of freedom.

``It's like an entrenched bureaucracy that has their own agenda, and it doesn't
comport with the will of the American people. How do we get rid of them?'' he said
during the June interview.

In a July broadcast of ``The 700 Club,'' Robertson accused the State Department of
supporting Muslim rebels who opposed the Liberian government headed by Charles Taylor.

Robertson, a Bush supporter who has financial interests in Liberia, said he believed
the State Department has ``mismanaged the situation in nation after nation after
nation'' in Africa.

``So we're undermining a Christian, Baptist president to bring in Muslim rebels to
take over the country,'' he said during the July broadcast.
