Pigs will fly before UPC come clean! They find it easier to see a speck in someone else's eye than the log in their own.
None the less, the fact is that power-drunk Obote solely bears the responsibility of startin Uganda on the slippery slope of dictatorship. The late Grace Ibingira, UPC's Secretary General and legal advisor, found that out too late. One of these days I'll post more from his revealing book, African Upheavals Since Independence.

Was Obote sincere when he abolished multiparty democracy and instituted a one party system. Remember is Uganda's first dictator. President Museveni is in the process of restoring what Obote destroyed. Now if President Museveni was so against mulipartism why is multipartism included in Uganda's constitution as one of the possible political systems that can be instituted if Ugandans so decide?
I would like to know from some of you UPC guys or from the don himself "Obote" what informed his decision to UNILATERALY institute a one party political system in Uganda, because all of you seem to support Obote without even questioning anything he did or does, is this the type of democracy you want ot bring to Uganda? Yet you are very fast to scrutinize every word, and every move of President Museveni. How about the UPC coming clean for a change. Instead of Obote hiding in Zambia and releasing cheap statements critisizing the government, let him make himself available for a question and answer session with Ugandans at home and abroad. If he wants to be the President of Uganda he should stop hiding and come face to face with Ugandans and our questions. The days of winning elections just because you are good orator or by insighting sentiments are over. That was then this is now.
You guys can't even answer simple questions about your party, concerning it's past history and the positions it took, yet you want democracy. You think democracy is about who can shout the loudest and who can raise the highest sentiments. If this was in any western country you guys would have been blown out of the water big time.
