THE woes of over 64 formerly displaced Bakiga families came to an end on Saturday when they were relocated from Lugogo tented camp in Kampala to Mubende district.

The assistant commissioner for disaster management in the Prime Minister�s office, Martin Owor, however, declined to reveal the exact location citing possible sabotage by politicians.

�Earlier on we had secured land in Kiboga but the district council and politicians halted the plans,� Owor said.

�So, with the current politics surrounding the issue of land, I cannot disclose where they have been resettled,� he said.

The mainly Bakiga peasant families were evicted from Kiziranfumbi village, Hoima district, by Prince Herbert Kimera. They were camped at Lugogo since April 23.
