THE Reform Agenda (RA) has urged the Government to invite regional and international intervention to settle Joseph Kony's insurgency in northern and eastern Uganda.

Busongora South MP Christopher Kibanzanga, while addressing RA's weekly press briefing at their Bukoto offices in Kampala yesterday, accused the Government of having a deliberate policy of downplaying the human suffering in the region.

"RA believes that Kony war should cease to be a Ugandan affair alone. The magnitude of atrocities there is appaling. Why don't we let in the regional or international communities? Human rights matters have no boarders," he said.

Kibanzanga, RA's secretary in charge of defence, internal affairs and security, said there was conspiracy about this war.

"Why doesn't the Government release proper statistics about this insurgency. We need to declare this area a disaster area, then call our international friends to come in," he added.
