THE Democratic Party (DP) is to
launch its 2006 presidential bid strategic campaign in US.
The campaign
is dubbed Operation State House 2006.
The campaign training project
will be launched on December 4, at Best Western Mission Hills,
California.
"Due to the restrictive nature of the NRM leadership, we
have been forced to have this training in a foreign country away from the NRM
government aggression," read a recent statement signed by DP spokes person
Jude Mbabali.
Mbabali said 30 DP graduates will today leave for the US
to get the training in "necessary techniques and strategies of campaigning
that will enable the party candidate win with a landslide in the 2006 general
elections."
He said the training would be conducted by an international
Israel campaign consultancy firm based in the us.
He said
senator Richard Alconi (Los Angeles) and Scott Wildman, a retired assembly
member, would be among the trainers.
DP boss Paul Ssemw-ogerere,
California branch chairman, Daniano Kigo-ye, party lawyer Elias Luk-wago and
Michael Mabi-kke (Makindye east) organised the
training.
