I am aware of the connotation of materialism -- meaning focus on material things rather than spiritual. What I meant was it is an error in the sense that people do not make a distinction between the two, in my experience some people have reacted negatively to the term materialism generally, so I never use it in that context . I think King's use of the matrialism is correct. The
word has more than one meaning. He is not using it as
it is referred to in the context of
scientific-Solcialism.
