LRA REBELS SHELTERED IN SUDAN ACCORDING TO GOVERNMENT PRESS
The majority of the rebels of the LRA (lordâs Resistance Army) over the past days left North Uganda seeking refuge over the border, in South Sudan, according to the pro-government 'New Vision' newspaper, citing Ugandan secret service sources.
The paper underlined that the rebels are headed by Vincent Otti, right-hand of LRA leader and founder Joseph Kony, specifying that the decision to take shelter in Sudan is linked to the numerous losses suffered in the past weeks at the hands of the Ugandan armed forces.
The New Vision claims that last week Otti lost 4 of his bodyguards, when the military stormed a zone between River Agago and the Aswa, where a meeting of top LRA commanders was underway, presided by Konyâs right-hand man.
The rebels have been devastating the North Ugandan districts since 1986: in 17 years of violence they have killed and tortured tens of thousands of people (at least 100-thousand dead), abducted over 20-thousand children (reduced to slavery or forcedly enrolled in the rebel lines) and caused the displacement of over a million.

But then 7,000 AMUKA Brigade Lango Militia , according to the UPDF, are ready to be deployed to fight this some rebels who are now in Sudan.... Yup.. that kind of like, makes sense Right?
