Ed, let me guess.  When the "mere" spokes fall off the bicycle it is not a whole anymore.  The bicycle can not function properly to its fullest.  Any sensible bike rider would get these spokes onto the bicycle as quick as possible.  The dictator's spokeless bicycle will with time be overwhelmed and defeated.
