ITURI: MASSACRE ON LAKE ALBERT
Between 180 and 200 people were killed in Gobu, small fishing village along the banks of Lake Albert, in the extreme north-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. MISNA sources report that unidentified gunmen opened fire against boats full of civilians. It is still unclear when the episode took place.
