"THE Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels" on Saturday murdered 15 people in Ojul parish in Lira district at around 7:30pm, Apatonyanga LC1 chairman said.Joel Oleke said in Lira on Sunday that the rebels attacked Apatonyanga in Abako sub-county and killed the people by smashing their heads.
 
Oleke said five people were abducted from other places and killed in Ojul. He said the rebels piled the bodies in one place.

He identified some of the victims as Rose Olingo, Marino Oleke, Constaine Omara, Joel Ogwang, Milly Akao, Lilly Omara, Vincent Oleke and Richard Onyeko.He said the victims had just returned from Lira town after hearing that the Amuka militia had been deployed in their villages.
