Big Guns!?  This is unseriousness!!  How can rebels move their "big guns" from place to place under the UPDF helicopter nose??  With UPDF helicopters flying around, how can this happen??  People, y'all can be fooled as you want to.  But I'll not accept this UPDF massacre on civilians being "blamed" on LRA.  This is the UPDF killing civilians.  There is nothing new they've said conviencing to a critical thinker.  Mu7 is another Obote, killing unarmed civilians.  The difference is none.  It sickens me to see an African killing fellow Africans in cold blood!  Mu7 is a murderer!  The rest is up to y'all to figure out!

The army is investigating the source of heavy arms now in the possession of the LRA rebels."The source of these heavy arms is our concern and that is what we want to find out," army spokesman Major Shaban Bantariza said.

"Definitely, we know the source of LRA guns has been Sudan which gave them enough arms in the past decade. Some of these guns from Sudan were stored inside Uganda," he added.

The army said the rebels attacked the Cuka Dek Orit parish camp in Ogur, in Erute North county, with heavy arms that included 12.7mm anti-aircraft guns, B-10 anti-tank and rocket propelled guns.

In January, another 12.7mm anti-aircraft gun was cap tured from the rebels at Okidi, 8km south west of Kitgum town.

Other arms used by the rebels are 60mm light machine guns, RPGs and grenade launchers.Bantariza said such a heavy gun was recently used by the LRA to attack a lorry, killing a UPDF major in Patongo in Pader.

The army said on Friday it captured a 12.7mm gun at Kazi Kazi in Omot sub-county in Pader after an attack on a rebel hideout. On Thursday, the army said it killed 25 rebels in Awelo-dwendo village between Ogwang and Omot sub-counties. A total of 15 SMGs were recovered.

"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the state."
