Vukoni Why should we address Konny? Does Konny have a solution for Ugandan's deaths? Does he even have an audience? and where do you end, after you address Lakwena or after you address the murder who kills people in Kyaggwe? I think the only person we must address is Museveni the NRM and the entire government, and those alone. For they have a duty to protect Uganda and Ugandans. Konny does not. So let us not kid our selves until when we can discuss with Mulindwa and Vukoni and Kironde as well. Now if NRM fails to bring peace into Uganda then and it must resign. That is the only logical step. But let us not pretend to have the ability to put Konny into equation a man even Uganda government has failed not only to fight but to communicate with for 20 years. And I think it is irresponsible for us as Ugandans abroad to accept that Konny as an entity exist and we can talk to him. That is irresponsible.

My dear brothers and sisters, Far too many defenseless and innocent Ugandans have lost lives, limbs, ears, noses, lips, and property in the last 18 years even as the NRM administration has internationally promoted the lie that our country is secure. Regardless of our political persuasions or who we believe is behind these massacres or should be held responsible for them, cann't we at the very least agree that enough is enough and bring pressure to bear on those fighting to respect lives. We need to send a clear message to Kony, Museveni and their spokesmen, as well as any other kalashnikovcrat wannabes that we don't want to see our country bleeding to death, literally. Especially those of us outside the country, isn't it possible for us to collectively through our community organizations condemn the massacres and the militaristic mindsets on both government and rebel sides that foments and permits the callous disregard for lives for political expediency? UNAA and all the other Diasporic Ugandan organizations, are we only good for partying? More practically, can't we mobilize resources (money, etc.) to send relief aid to the victims of these man-made disasters? Please let's do something. Thank you all. vukoni ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.593 / Virus Database: 376 - Release Date: 2/20/2004 > -------------------------------------------- This service is hosted on the Infocom network http://www.infocom.co.ug
