KABAKA Ronald Mutebi has dissociated himself from Prince Edward Kimbugwe following his failure to clear a sh40m bill in a Germany hospital.
He is not a son of Sir Edward Muteesa II and he was not in Germany on matters connected to the kingdom or to the royals, Mutebi said, adding that the responsibility to clear the bill lay on Kimbugwe.
Kimbugwe was admitted in Klinikum Mannheim from June 6 to July 8, 2003.
He was invited to Germany by Dr. F. Mukasa of Asenberg.
In a letter to the Kabaka, Mukasa said Kimbugwe tricked the hospital to treat him after pausing as a royal and son to the late Sir Edward Muteesa, Mutebis father.
Mukasa was in January charged in court after Kimbugwe left the hospital without his knowledge. He asked Mutebi to help him clear the sh40m bill.
Yesterday, Kimbugwe said the travellers insurance Mukasa got for him catered for the bill. He said he did not pose as Mu
teesas
son. How could I have left the hospital without clearing the bills? If Mukasas allegation is true, why didnt he report me to Interpol instead of going to newspapers? he asked. Ends
