THE Democratic Party (DP) recently threatened to pull out of the National Dialogue Talks (NDT) with the Movement Government.DP public relations officer Jude Mbabali complained that their rights were not being respected.


"DP may pull out of the NDT until the Government approves political rallies," he said.This follows the detention of youth councillor Henry Lubowa at Old Kampala Police Station on Sunday for convening a rally at Nakulabye.

Mbabali said there was no law in Uganda that prohibited a local government councillor from convening a rally to educate people on issues at hand.He urged Police officers to pursue their duties withou
