In an abnormal situation, and at a government lead with a real human being, at 259 dead people, Museveni had only one alternative , to resign. There is no way in God's green grass, a government can cover its self any where on a death of such numbers in just a mere apology. And let record show as well that these saints were not even buried but eaten by dogs, this is Uganda we have in 2004 under Yoweri Museveni. Let History not blame us for we have made Uganda atrocities under Museveni as public as we humanely can, for what is happening in Uganda today is an anarchy.

President apologises for Barlonyo Massacre

President Yoweri Museveni (right) has apologised to the Langi for last months Barlonyo Camp LRA massacre that left 259 civilians death.

Addressing mourners at a mass burial of the remains, Museveni blames the killings on poor co-ordination within the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF).

The president who promises to construct a Memorial School at the burial ground also hints on a nearly concluded project to start providing free Secondary Education to students in the war Zone.

Bishop Charles Odur Kami of Lango Diocese led prayers at the Mass Grave.

Others were the Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Mubajje and Metropolitan Yonah Lwanga.

Meantime, Lira district Chairman Francis Ojur wants government to provide a Special grant to war affected districts.

Ojur who was on Saturday speaking at the Mass burial of Barlonyo victims says the district authorities consider it mockery to ask people with no productive work to pay taxes.
