AN intelligence officer from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI)
headquarters in Kampala was yesterday charged with subversive talk against President
Yoweri Museveni.
The UPDF bi-monthly bulletin, Alluta said in its April edition that the 1st division
unit disciplinary committee court sitting at the General Military Hospital Mbuya,
Kampala heard the case filed by the state against Capt. J. B. Katongole.
The prosecution said Katongole, while in Adilang, Pader district, got involved in
subversive talk against the Government and President Yoweri Museveni.

He pleaded not guilty and prosecution applied for adjournment to allow time to summon
state witnesses.
Katongole was granted bail upon presentation of Capt. J.B. Mukiibi of CMI headquarters
and Capt Emmy Nsabimaana of General Military Hospital as sureties.
