GULU district World Food Programme (WFP) officer Pedro Amolat has said the office is
feeding thrice the expected number of people, writes Chris Ochowun.
Amolat said this during a consultative meeting with camp leaders, LC3 chairpersons and
civil society organisations at Acholi Inn Hotel in Gulu.
He said the number of beneficiaries had risen from 380,000 in 2002 to 438,000.
Amolat added that they had so far spent over sh87.4b on relief food items to feed
displaced persons in Gulu district alone.
