An Association of uneducated persons is demanding representation in Parliament as well as the removal of academic qualification requirements to elective posts. This comes as government prepares a white paper on the Constitutional Review Commission report. The Uganda Association of the Uneducated Persons (TUAUP) says it is non- partisan and only wants to bride the gap between the educated and the uneducated who constitute the majority citizenry. This was disclosed by the Interim Chairman and founder member of the association while speaking to Radio Simba exclusively. He revealed that the organization has launched a nationwide sensitization campaign to mobilize the peasants for development and primary health care. Meanwhile, members of the group say President Museveni has promised to create a department in one of the ministries to handle their concerns.
