Arrow Group chief, Musa Ecweru has threatened to unleash his forces on the Karimojong
unless they cease raiding Teso. He is the Coordinator of the 8,600 strong militia.
Ecweru says the Karimojong have recently intensified attacks as far as Amuria county,
deep in Teso, killing and looting property. Ecweru, who is also the Soroti RDC,
sounded the threat while officiating at Heroes Day celebrations at Soroti sports
ground, June 9.
"If they don't heed what we are saying, then the Karimojong will be part of the
statistics (of the dead)," he said. He said that all the LRA commanders who
surrendered in recent times confess that the firepower of the Arrow Boys dislodged
them. "So the Karimojong must be ready because we shall baptise them with fire," said
Ecweru.
