Government is to consider the churchs views on the political transition while
drawing the transition Roadmap.

The Vice President Prof. Gilbert Bukenya says that government has been
cognoscenti of the remarks religious leader on the political transition.

He said this in a speech read for him by Kampala Central Division MP and
Housing Minister Hon. Francis Babu at Our Lady and St. Jude Church Naguru
parish golden Jubilee celebrations.

He says that the church has an important role in the social, Economic and
political development of Uganda.

He adds that the Church should freely participate in the selection of leaders
and deliberation of policies that affect the Nation.

Meanwhile Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala has described as Ignorant Born Again
Christians Balookole who preach against the Catholic Church for modern
Churches.

The Cardinal says that this was foretold in scripture that such teachings would
be there to divide and cause enmity in the church of God.

Popes representative Christopher Pierre, who addressed Christians at St. Jude
Church said that Catholics Should remember that being born again is a spiritual
transformation rather than moving to other churches.
