THE Swiss ambassador to Uganda based in Nairobi, Pierre Combernous, has assured
internally displaced persons (IDPs) at Pabbo camp that his country will continue
pursuing diplomatic efforts to resolve the northern insurgency.
The displaced persons asked the ambassador and other delegates who visited Pabbo camp
not to leave President Museveni alone in the struggle to end the war.
"You people should help Museveni to end this war because he will not manage Kony
alone. How can Kony defeat the whole world?" a woman asked.

Pierre said the humanitarian needs in the north had doubled as compared to the past.
"We have managed to mobilise some resources to cater for your increasing humanitarian
needs," he said.
