Yet another clear evidence implicating the Museveni Military dictatorship in the
torture of our members and fellow citizens. Those who think that a people can take
this kind of abuse forever( twenty year and counting) are dead wrong.

The UPC Presidential Policy Commission Chairman, Dr James Rwanyarare, has said his
party has mounted a massive search for its 15 supporters allegedly arrested from Lango
by security operatives last week.
Rwanyarare told The Monitor by telephone on Wednesday the 15 were members of the
executive committees for Lira and Apac. They went missing two weeks ago.
Rwanyarare accused the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and other security
operatives of being responsible for the 'abduction.
"We are moving from police station to police station searching for our supporters," he
said.
Rwanyarare, who declined to name the abducted men said they had been able to locate
seven of them in a Kampala security detention centre following a tip off by well
wishers.

"We shall not name them for now for fear that they may be killed before habeas corpus
has been issued by court," he said after naming Mr CP Okello whom he said was in bad
shape after CMI tortured him.
He said the manhunt had led them to locate seven members so far. He said two were
being detained at Kampala Central police Station.
