Gook:

The NRM goons have really taken our country to a new low. suspects are simply shoot
at point blank without allowing the rule of law take it's coarse. The question is for
how long must the people of Uganda allow this kind of actions on the part of the NRM
take place with absolute impunity?

Recall if you must that Nassar Abudala ( the Governor of Central province ) thought he
was god himself.. and that nothing could touch him...were is Nassur now.

The fact of the matter is that a people can only take so much abuses .. there comes a
time that a people must stand up for thier rights came what may. The situation in
Yoweri Museveni's NRM's military dictatorship is growing desperate by the hour. Our
people are desperate. There are so many tears.. so many hurt ... so may pain...be it
in Northern Uganda or eastern Uganda or even western Uganda, buganda and all the
districts.

Passenger shoots mugger

END OF THE ROAD! Police examine the suspect.

By Steven Candia and Matthias Mugisha
A search for a quick buck by a Kampala street mugger yesterday went terribly sour.

He was shot three times while dashing off with his booty- a pair of earrings.

The 2:30pm incident left the unidentified mugger in a pool of blood and gasping for
life behind Barclays Bank, Kampala Road branch.

The Police said the suspect was severely injured and rushed to Mulago hospital.
Unconfirmed reports late last evening said he might have died on the way to the
hospital.
The mugger tried to take advantage of traffic jam on Kampala Road near Debonairs and
Steers fast food outlet.

Wearing a white T-shirt, blue trousers and brown shoes, the man pounced on a woman
driving a saloon car and in the company of a man in civilian attire but armed with a
pistol, witnesses said.

The pickpocket ripped off the womans gold earrings while she was trapped in the jam.
Her companion dashed out of the car and chased him.

He fired a shot and felled the pickpocket near Barclays Bank on Kampala Road after he
ignored orders to stop.

Sources said he hit him in the shoulder blade.

After shooting the suspect, the man walked up to him, recovered the earrings and then
pumped two more bullets into the motionless mans thigh and chest, at point-blank
range.
He then casually walked back to the car and they sped off.

Kampala Police chief Benson Oyo Nyeko yesterday said the woman and the man reported to
the Central Police Station. He, however, declined to disclose their identity, saying
they could be targeted by thugs.
Thugs may want to revenge, he said.
